securitised loan Explanation: While this is not a literal translation, I believe the meaning is identical - what you're talking about is a loan that's been extended in the form of a security issued by the borrower (and bought by the lender). In the past, this was often used to avoid loan loss provisions (which would have been required for a loan). With today's common regime of marking-to-market, however, the net effect is the same. Up to you to judge if that fits your context. |
