German to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general)
German term or phrase: Sicherheit bestellen
Hi there,

Would anyone with financial expertise out there know the most appropriate translation for "bestellen" in the context of raising collateral for a loan?
Would you normally "order" collateral" or "request" it?
Or is there a better option again?

For reference, the specific (awful) context is as follows:

My attempt at this thus far is as follows:

"In the case of borrower loans of the same type, the borrower shall not order any collateral whatsoever from a third party or from another individual or enter into any obligations where the object of which is the ordering of collateral for such loans in favour of the third party, without the bank contributing to this collateral either before or in parallel and to the same extent, or of collateral of a similar value being ordered from the bank."

However, I'm not convinced that "order" is the correct term here :(

All insightful assistance much appreciated :)

furnishing of collateral (securities)
Explanation:

I actually went with "provide" in the end but your feedback was key to pointing me in the right direction, thanks so much!
