generally fine -- depends on the content: is it for "beginners" (do they want to get started?), how detailed (ABC, primer could be quite sizeable)? "Guide" seems con-committal enough, and what about the literal "Small School of ...?" Brauschule" hints a bit at "brewery" as a profession rather than "brewing", the kind you would try at home?

I prefer not to use the term "beginners". As to the audience question: it is an insert to a trade journal.
