Tech/Engineering - Food & Dairy / Refrigeration Devices for Food Counters
German term or phrase: Beleuchtungsmittel
"4.1 Aufstellort

"Die Aufstellbedingungen am Aufstellort müssen den allgemeinen Bedingungen nach EN 441-11 entsprechen, d.h. Vermeidung von Zugluft, keine unnötige Strahlungswärme von ***Beleuchtungsmitteln***, Backöfen, Heizungen, Sonneneinstrahlung, etc."

Talking about the installation of refrigeration devices in food counters. For some reason that altogether escapes me, the dictionaries don't seem to recognise the existence of "Beleuchtungsmittel". I feel sure there is a simple solution, but it just escapes me. Let's get this baby in the ProZ glossary! TIA for your help.

Clarification request(s) and response
Rowan Morrell (asker): 1:19pm May 31, 2004: Leaning slightly to "light sources" - That seems to have the majority support at the time of writing. However, I have one little objection, which is that "Sonneneinstrahlung", mentioned separately, could also be classified as a "light source". It seems slightly silly to mention "light sources" and then sunlight separately! Therefore, lights or light fixtures have some appeal to me in this particular context.

light sources
Explanation:
A light source is a physical emitter of radiation such as a candle, a tungsten bulb, and natural daylight.

I don\'t think this sounds silly because the focus is on heat, not light. Actually, \"keep away from light sources, direct sun and welding torches\" emphasizes this aspect.

This answer has the most peer support, and light sources does fit pretty well here, so it's the points to Klaus. Trudy and Sven's suggestion was a good thought for getting around the fact that sunlight is also a light source, yet mentioned separately. Lighting struck me as being quite reasonable also, though. Anyway, thanks once again to you all for your assistance - much appreciated.
