German term or phrase: Partnerstuhl
The Swiss patent I am translating uses the term 'Partnerstuhl' in the following context:

eine perspektivische Ansicht eines als Freischwinger ausgebildeten Partnerstuhles mit einer eingebauten (nicht sichtbaren) erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung zur Lehnenbefestigung;

An online search for Partnerstuhl returned several hits, including:

Der Einsatzbereich dieses multifunktionalen Stapelstuhles reicht vom
Bistro- und Kantinenbereich über den Besprechungsbereich bis zum
Partnerstuhl im Chefzimmer

Another online source made the distinction between a Besucherstuhl, a Konferenzstuhl, and a Partnerstuhl.

It sounds like Partnerstuhl is used in a work environment, probably as part of a set of chairs for employees.

Is there a term for this in English or is this simply an office chair? Because this is a patent, I want to be as precise as possible.

Thanks in advance.

meeting chair
Explanation:
I found this on the net from a manufacturer of "Partnerstühle" (http://www.mauser-sitzkultur.com/pdf/alerto470_0612.pdf):

Das Partnerstuhl-Programm:
Immer das passende Gegenüber für Besucher und Gesprächspartner am Arbeitsplatz. Oder komfortable Sitzgelegenheit für Besprechung und Konferenz.

These are office chairs that are used for meetings with business partners and associates (ergo the German word "Partnerstuhl").

I would simply call them "meeting chairs".

They are often stackable (as opposed to office chairs used at desks) so they are practical for large events - shareholder meetings, etc.
