Clarification request(s) and response
xxxFrancis Lee: 1:41pm Oct 17, 2006: Exactly what kind of vehicles are involved here? I ask because of the "Straßen" factor.
Armorel Young: 3:10pm Oct 17, 2006: Agree with Francis - what are the vehicles for? What do they carry? To businesses or to homes? In English the roads/streets distinction has all sorts of implications.
xxxFrancis Lee: 7:30am Oct 18, 2006: You say "Roads is what we want here" but can you tell us why (and what vehicles are involved etc.)?
trans-agrar: 8:24am Oct 18, 2006: Well I thought "Nutzfahrzeuge" says it all: trucks, trailers for any conceivable purpose.
xxxFrancis Lee: 8:40am Oct 18, 2006: Nutzfahrzeuge also includes tractors, diggers, buses etc., hence the query. But in this case we are just talking trucks and trailers, then?
Stephen Sadie: 10:48am Oct 18, 2006: A neutral phrase may well prove to be a good workaround and could be viewed as positive marketing text in such a report which, as you say, is often very dry

At home on all roads/ on every road
Explanation:
I am trying to keep in mind that it is part of a report, and not necessarily an ad. I suggest "at home on all roads" - even though it 's a slogan used by carmakers, or "at home on every road" a a slight variation, both suggesting a fact and thus (hopefully) good for such a headline.

Good Luck,

Bernhard

Thanks to everybody for your inputs and of course you Bernhard. I picked this, because it is factual and correct and on top of it uses the client's slogan. Thanks again

At home on every street

Explanation:
Agree with Harald's idea of the concept of being international, just phrasing it slightly more colloquially.

Asker: I like this fresh approach but it may not be dead serious enough for the annual report

At home wherever you [want to] roam

Explanation:
OK, it's probably more suitable for a caravan manufacturer, but unless we get an idea of what these vehicles are meant to do - whether they are crossing continents on motorways or trundling up to people's front doors on suburban housing estates - we may not be able to pin it down more specifically.
