"Motte, die Piratenkatze, begibt sich auf Schatzsuche durch die menschenleere Wohnung, überquert im Badezimmer das unheimliche Schaummeer, wo **aufgeblasene** Seeungeheuer lauern, kämpft sich im Wohnzimmer durch den Dschungel der Zimmerpflanzen und schleicht am schnarchenden Riesen vorbei in die Schatzkammer, bis sie endlich vor der Schatztruhe steht: Dem gut gefüllten Kühlschrank."

This is from the blurb for a picture book. I am stuck for inspiration for a translation that goes with the soap-bubble-imagery. Any ideas?

Andrew Swift: Oh dear, non-native speakers trying to correct your idiomatic understanding of English, Derek. Of course it is 'blow-up' in this context (unless, of course, the poor child’s house has been hit by a bomb).

Bernhard Sulzer: I had to chuckle after Andrew's comment - now I just think "detonated" toys in any case; actually I never hear anybody really say blow-up sea monsters; but blow-up toys is indeed used; "inflated/inflatable" is probably safer.
