Science - Geography / Place name
German term or phrase: Baessanum
Translating a correspondence I came across a partial stamp on a postcard. The remaining letters are "Baessanum" and from the content of the card (written in German) I know it was sent from Tyrol. There is a town in Italian Tyrol, Bolzano, which in Latin was spelled Bauzanum. I was unable to go any further and to ascertain or exclude this as the identification. Any help will be appreciated.
