German term or phrase: Berge vs Gebirge
The heading of a chapter in an encyclopedia reads "Berge und Gebirge". How would that be translated? Will it be translated as "Hills and Mountains" or as "Mountains and Mountain Ranges"? The distinction has to be very clear because there are lot of questions in this chapter where these words occur.
Thanks!

neutral  Victor Dewsbery: May be right, but the "Berge" could also be hills. Only Bhavna has the full context.
