German to English translations [PRO]
Geography
German term or phrase: See
I have been sent a glossary by a client with a number of lakes in it and don't wholeheartedly agree with some of the ways in which See has been used.

For example,
Kölpinsee = Kölpin lake (lowercase)
Krakower See = Krakow Lake
Kummerower See = Lake Kummerow
Plauer See = Plauer Lake

My understanding is if the "See" is part of the name as in "Kummerower See" then it should be written as "Lake Kummerow" and is in "Kölpinsee" then "Kölpin Lake (uppercase). In the above examples the "-er" has not consistently been removed nor left.

There is no guide from the above how the client wishes a lake not in the glossaryto be translated, i.e. Malchiner See

What is the best way of addressing this?
