German term or phrase: Entlösung
I have not been able to find Entlösung in any context other than the Holocaust. Like previous recent entries, this pertains to a geology text and unfortunately has limited context clues since it's from a page with only equations. Here are some of the ways it appears:

Entlösungsdruck
Flash-Entlösung
Gaslöslichkeit aus Stufenentlösung

Other terms on the same page, not necessarily related (since there's such limited context):
Lagerstaettenoel
Formationsvolumensfaktor
Kompressabilitaet
Viskositaet

The general text is related to wells, drilling, oil production and extraction, steam and water injection, cost and efficiency evaluations.

Thank you!

Explanation:
or degasification

i.e. removal of dissolved gases from liquids. This may lead to the formation of a separate gas phase (that can be withdrawn) or to gas bubbles in the liquid

Thank you to everyone! I had a hard time choosing the answer since I think multiple could be applicable and two were neck in neck. The reference comments were also helpful. Thanks for all of your insightful entries!

fracturing

Explanation:
Well, this is just above a guess, but with oil wells and geology involved, hydraulic fracturing is a hot topic.

The link states:
Advances in completion technology have led to the emergence of open hole multi-stage fracturing systems.

and this 'stage' might fit with your Stufen....

There is an English abstract. Still, beware - that doesn't mean that the English terminology provided is actually correct (based on personal experience :-) )
