The following text is taken from a graph of potential and resistance for Bentheim sandstone. I am only looking or m ahd though have included other context in case it is needed. Thanks!

m absulote hole depth
Explanation:
due to deviations from the vertical there is nearly always a difference between true vertical depth (TVD) and absulote hole depth. This COULD be an explanation, although to me "ahd" is known as the abbreviation for the 'azimuth of hole deviation' given in degrees.

Thank you! I will keep both suggestions in this entry in mind (absolute hole depth and azimuth of hole deviation) for this project.

m AHD

Explanation:
I have found AHD as Australian Height Datum - does your text refer to Australia? Your abbreviation would then refer to 895 metres Australian Height Datum.
For example see: http://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/t_standard2.aspx?pid=4854
"The outcome of a flood search is the Designated Flood Level, which is reported in metres AHD (Australian Height Datum), the nationally adopted datum or standard to which all elevation for mapping is to be referred. "
