You can always edit your posts!! Where I come from we spell it 'negotiations', too!! Apart from the spelling issue, to my BE ears 'negotiating stance' sounds better than 'negotiating position'.

but I don't see what the big deal is here. What's your position, what's my position, and well these guys will tell you what your position should be in negotiations, and, well, if you're a regional politician (I'm not, but my dad ran for congress once), they'll tell you what position is best for your region...
