German term or phrase: Wehrbezirkskommando
This is from the description of a police station in the 3rd Reich. Are there standard English translations of these terms or are they usually left in German?

Straßenführer 1938: Das Revier 16, Berlin C 2, Hackescher Markt 1. Telephon: 423997. Schutzpolizei Abschnittskommando Alexander, Schutzpolizei Gruppenkommando Mitte, Polizeiamt Mitte, Kriminalkommissariat III, Amtsarzt Mitte, Wehrbezirkskommando VI.

according to my "German English Military Dictionary" which I have in its PDF version without any other publishing details. Most likely published by the US Army in the 40s.

neutral  hazmatgerman: command would be a usable phrasing if the drafting aspect were included. Headquarters is misleading, as they were administrative not military units.

agree  hazmatgerman: Your source probably is p. 313 of TM30-506, issued May 20th, 1944. My – unrelated – US source is dated April the same year. Regards.//tx, so 2 pdf versions exist. ebst.

Am 1. August 1938 wurde er dann als Oberst (E) zu den Ergänzungsoffizieren überführt. Als solcher wurde er zum Kommandeur vom Wehrbezirkskommando Gänserndorf ernannt

Zunächst wurde bei je einem WBK in den Standorten der Wehrersatzinspektionen eine Versorgungsabteilung .... gebildet. Sie war dem Wehrbezirkskommandeur unterstellt und wurde vom Wehrbezirksfürsorgeoffizier geleitet.

Für meine Begriffe klingt es wohle nach Wehrmacht.

neutral  hazmatgerman: Wehrbezirkskommando was primarily an administrative, not a military entity.//Yes it could, however both period sources stress the recruiting aspect, so substituting "administrative" alone would not work. Regards.
