German to English translations [PRO] Marketing - Human Resources Region (source): Region (target): English (United States) | | German term or phrase: Akquisiteur | | In a consulting firm what do you call someone who goes out trying to get new customers? I know people sometimes say "I work in customer acquisition" but is there a word for their job other than canvasser (which makes me think of door-to-door selling)? |

| Clarification request(s) and responseDaniel Bird: 8:13am Aug 26, 2005: Is this a title needed e.g. for a business card or external communication, recruitment etc.? It would definitely help to know. I suppose what I'm saying is "context please" :) - MTurner (asker): 9:05am Aug 26, 2005: no, it's not for a business card. It's a description of how the consulting processes and who does what, i.e. consultant and "Akquisiteur" meet with customer and then review meeting with management.

| Note from asker to answererBrilliant, that's what I was looking for. I don't think it can be "customer consultant" because in this case that is the Berater and I prefer it to "customer development officer" because it's not the customer that's being developed but the business. 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |
