I've just had my original question removed beacuse it "contained more than one term" - so look out for identical questions about "degressive Provision" and "progressive Provision" too! Good job I've got plenty of time to waste!

Anyway - I'm not sure if "linear commission" is the correct terminology when talking about employee reward schemes in English - I have found a few references, but I'd like to know if there are other, more common terms. The context is a Human Resources textbook. The definition is in teh following section:

"Bei der linearen Provision ist der Provisionssatz über alle Umsatzniveaus konstant....bei progressiven Provisionsverläufen steigt der Provisionssatz mit zunehmendem Umsatz .....bei degressiver Provision sinkt der Provisionssatz mit zunehmendem Umsatz".
