German to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Human Resources
German term or phrase: Vertretung durch
I was wondering what the difference between 'Vertretung durch' and 'Vertretung von' is.

These terms appear in a job description table, but the column next to both terms is blank, so I don't have much context to go on.

English translation:deputis(z)ed by / deputy for
Explanation:
As this is in a job description table, I am assuming the empty column to the right is to contain the names or positions of the person whom the job holder is filling in for (Vertretung für) and the one of the person who is filling in for him/her during an absence (Vertretung durch).

(someone is) represented by

Explanation:
--> someone is represented by

B.). --> to represent someone

But you didn't have to disagree with my whole post. Everything I wrote is true. Hkeet will then decide for herself.

Vertretung durch, I forgot to mention, is a person, a substitute.
