German term or phrase: Gehaltsvorstellung
"Meine Gehaltsvorstellung liegt bei etwa € XX.000 p.a."

What would be an appropriate phrase in (preferably British) English for a job application or similar? This particular applicant is looking for a high-paying managerial position.

The dictionaries suggest "salary requirement", "desired salary" and "salary expectation", I'm just unsure as to what would be the conventional wording on an application.

TIA for your help.

-> In writing you would say: "My salary expectations are in the range of $xxx and $xxx". When talking about this you would say: "I would expect to earn about $xxx" or "I would expect to earn between $xxx and $xxx"
