agree Anglo-German: Und als konstruktive Ergänzung: build up a basic r. pension? Da es sich um einen gesprochenen Text handelt, ist der Lapsus *Baustein aufbauen* verständlich, normalerweise baut natürlich keinen Baustein auf, sondern was Größeres aus mehreren.

disagree dercarson: das ist kein Lapsus, glaube ich. nach meinem verständnis kann man durchaus einen baustein aufbauen. insbesondere weil dies über jahre -aufgebaut- werden muss. Also, you'll lose the idea of using this method to build a piece of a large retirement package

agree dercarson: I like the second idea a lot better. Use 'building block' though, as 'bloc' is used to talk about factions, or groups of nations, in opposition to others
