Asker: Is Neil C. particularly ept with insurance? "Not profit-sharing" sounds a good option, as well. I am the editor rather than the translator, but I have collected all your solutions and offered them to the translator.

agree  Paul Skidmore: I prefer "profits" to "surplus" in the context of savings vehicles. In the UK "with-profits" insurance is a widely used term
