Thanks for your input. No, it's from Germany. There's an abbreviation "GEK," which could stand for "Gmündner Ersatzkasse," but I don't want to guess. No, I don't know what GAS stands for, either. I threw everything back in the client's lap, who hasn't been able to figure anything out, either :-)

Hi Trudy, is this from Austria? - And disregarding Austrian or German or Swiss origin: I would then call an (Austrian, German, Swiss) health insurance company, or write an e-mail ... Or, if your report is from a (Austrian?) hospital, address this hospital directly.

Otherwise this is always a lot of guess work, with this awkward abbreviations. :-)

that would make sense here; noen of the sites for medical abbr.give any clue as to the Z ZI etc.

Hallo CBChris, kann sein, aber die erste Abkürzung besteht aus einem großen Z und einem kleinen "el." Bringt uns aber wahrscheinlich auch nicht weiter. Vielen Dank für den Versuch schon mal. Ich werde wahrscheinlich alles so stehen lassen, raten ist zu gefährlich :-)

Hallo Trudy, ich denke, es handelt sich hier um Abkürzungen der Institute, wie y. B. ZKH = Zentralkrankenhaus, ZI = Zentral institut, zu ZL fällt mir leider nix ein -
