German to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Insurance / factoring | | German term or phrase: bevorschusst | Soweit Forderungen nicht bevorschusst werden, erfolgt die Hereinnahme zum Inkasso ohne Delkredereübernahme...die Delkredereübernahme lebt mit dem Ankauf auf, sobald Debitorenlimite durch Bezahlung älterer Forderungen wieder zur Verfügung stehen.
This sentence seems quite counterintuitive. Normally, the main reasons companies WANT a factoring arrangement are (1) to get an advance on their receivables and (2) for the bad debt (del credere) risk coverage offered by most factors. It would seem that this factor is NOT offering del credere risk coverage on receivables for which he does not give an advance payment on the receivables? Does "bevorschusst" mean advanced? I translated it as "So long as the receivables are not advance-discounted, they are accepted for collection without assumption of the del credere (bad debt) risk...Purchases revive the assumption of the del credere risk as soon as credit limits become available again through the payment of older receivables." But I am wondering whether "bevorschusst" is referring perhaps to exceeding the credit limit, instead of an advance payout on the receivables. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! |
