German to English translations [PRO] Marketing - Internet, e-Commerce
German term or phrase:Mitmach-Web
does anybody know a common translation for this description of web 2.0? i am glad for any suggestions. thanks and all best...
The concept of Web-as-participation-platform captures many of these characteristics. Bart Decrem, a founder and former CEO of Flock, calls Web 2.0 the "participatory Web" and regards the Web-as-information-source as Web 1.0. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2

Explanation: I'd use "intereactive" for "mitmach-" per se. Yes, of course the earlier generation of web technology is also referred to with the term "interactive".
I have found information on "folksonomy", also known as collaborative tagging, social classification, social indexing...and the use of terms and technologies such as "social software". Depending on the context, the term you are looking for may simply be social or collaborative.
