German term or phrase:Bogen
In the context of corporate design manual, for email format in harmony with branding standards, the term Bogen (pl. Bögen) is used in the following variations: Farbcodes für Headerbögen
Die Bögen im Header sind aus drei verschiedenen Elementen zusammengesetzt.

This term Bogen is describing one element of the email format, and it is an element that is parallel to the graphics standards for Buttons and Störer in the message format.
Thank you. "Arch" is the best (only) term found and I used it, although I do not have confirmation from the client on acceptance. It is used in variants: Headerbogen, Lichtbogen and Ueberlapping, all referring to graphic design format and none of which have been confirmed in any sources I have found. I await further feedback on this from the client and will let you know. In the meantime, the fact that you did not have a sure-fire obvious answer is comforting in that it means that I was not missing something terribly obvious (ie., if more expert translators could not find a solution, at least my uncertainty is not a "howler". ) Thanks very much for the collaboration and comments from all parties. 3 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer

This appears to be a design element used in their letter head. Please note that "Mailing" does not refer to emails but to printed pieces in direct marketing campaigns.
