German term or phrase: Online-Freudige
This is mentioned in a marketing blurb for a company that designs websites. They list their customers as businesses, service providers, distributors, associations and "Online-Freudige". Inspiration's running low today - does anyone have any better solution than "internet fans"?

Explanation:
Both get a decent hit rate on the worlds' favourite search engine. Aficionados does not have the slightly negative connotation of -aholics

Re 'heavy internet users':
I'm not sure how literally we should take the notion of 'Freude' here. The client presumably hopes to attract customers who use the internet a lot. Whether they enjoy the time they spend online is immaterial.

It would be interesting to hear from German native speakers on how they interpret '-freudige' here.

agree  Hope Farmer: If the "Freudige" are existing customers, "enthusiastic customers" or "enthusiastic customers" sound really good. Aficionados sounds too, um, enthusiastic! A synonym for aficionado is devotee, which sounds too fanatic, don't you think?
