German term or phrase: Kugelfang
In the context of an Excel-based evaluation tool:

globular/spherical selection
Explanation:
As with Trichterfang, I have seen this in the context of a computer-supported analysis tool called "Nextexpertizer" (http://www.nextpractice.de/en/services/nextexpertizer/produc... Extensive details on nextexpertizer and t.o.p.GRID can be found in thre reference link below. Here they use "globular analysis" to describe "Kugelfang". To keep it similar to the other term you could use "globular selection" or "spherical selection".

Kugelfang or Bullseye or Ripple

Explanation:
As "Kugelfang" is the name of the tool, does it require translation at all? A Kugelfang is the bullet-catching backstop to a target and does not translate very well into a single catchy word like "Kugelfang." "Bullet catcher" just doesn't sound as cool... If it really must be translated, why not call it "bullseye" or "ripple" or something else that carries the sense of what the passage describes?
