When we say in German "verschiedene Auspraegungen erfahren", it means that something manifests itself in various forms..... Perhaps this is the direction that could be taken here....

Maybe "Auspraegung" as it is used in this context is not necessarily connected with IT stuff. As regards the use of "degree", Bernd appears to be right. For example: "In einer derart starken Auspraegung ist mir diese Krankheit noch nicht untergekommen" would probably be translated as: "I have never come across this illness to such a marked degree". You certainly know all this. In this sense it is associated with "Ausgepraegtsein", some sort of markedness, but even so, I don't know how to handle the sentence.

It's impossible to directly compare the benefits for data senders and data users.
I admit that the German sentence is strange - I would drop "in der Ausprägung": Er [der Nutzen] ist auch für Datensender oder Datennutzer nicht unmittelbar vergleichbar.
