Pity you ruled me out of answering!!! 04:20 Sep 3, 2011
Well, I cannot answer this question officially due to not being a full member, but this is my area of expertise as networking/internet hosting is my forte.
I believe that what they are talking about here is being able to transfer to a similar-level plan or upgrade during the minimum contract period.
More specifically, it sounds like in this case that they are referring to a managed network situation within a business park/complex.
In these situations, network connections are 'hired'. You pay XX amount per month for your company's internet connection. These connections come in various configurations - static IP, non-static, ADSl/SDSL etc.
Let us say, for example, that a company currently has a non-static IP over a 20/1 Mbit ADSL connection. They wish to switch to an 8/8 Mbit SDSL connection with static IP which is at the same price point. To my mind, this would fulfill the definition of 'Leitungsschwenks'. Slower download, yes - but faster upload (synchronous) plus with a static IP (very useful for service hosting).
In this context, 'Leitungsschwenks' is like a sideways-hop - a service switch but on the same level. |
