Die Goldmans gaben dem Buch einen neuen Untertitel: "Confessions of a killer" (Bekenntnisse eines Mörders).

I know it is a real stretch, but didn't the man sell the rights because he needed money?
I believe the other translations are correct translations of the German, but do they fit the context? Do they mean anything?
