English translation:sole partner / associate / shareholder or stockholder s.u.
Explanation:
In the case of a PERSONENGESELLSCHAFT it is a *partner*
if in the sense of a TEILHABER - it is an *associate* and if in the sense of a KAPITALGESELLSCHAFT - it is a *shareholder* (British) and *stockholder* (US).

The LLC is treated as a "partnership" according to Dietl. It is a legal person whereby the liability of the shareholders is restricted to the company's assets. In this case *sole partner* would apply - in my opinion. Please ask Steffen to confirm this.

agree  Steffen Walter: Yes, useful distinction. Asker should provide legal form of co. / If the "LLC" is in fact a German/Austrian? GmbH, both "shareholder" and "partner" may be used. In the published translation of the German "GmbH-Gesetz", the term "shareholder(s)" is used.

neutral  Sebastian Witte: The "GmbH" is a Kapitalgesellschaft. A partnership is definitely a Personengesellschaft. The Gesellschafter of a Kapitalgesellschaft is called shareholder (according to Zahn). "Sole shareholder" is the correct translation.
