Again, this is from a company's terms and conditions of business. I'm having trouble making the end of this paragraph clear. This is my attempt so far, but I'd be grateful for any better suggestions!

"Liability for consequential damages, i.e. for damage to other legally protected property belonging to the Purchaser, or for loss of profit etc. is excluded, to the extent that we are not also required to assume responsibility for consequential damages arising from a defective or faulty assured characteristic of the goods."
