Law/Patents - Law: Contract(s) / Employment Contract
German term or phrase: Beschäftigungsansprüche
"Der Arbeitnehmer erkennt die Befristung an und wird über den Beendigungstermin hinausgehende Beschäftigungsansprüche nicht geltend gemacht."

From a German employment contract. The person is being hired on a fixed term contract. In the previous sentence the start and end dates have been given and the employee has been reminded that the contract will end on a specific date and he won't necessarily receive a notice of termination either.

"Beschäftigungsansprüche" is a legal term, does anyone know an English equivalent or a standard phrase for this? In fact, I'm not sure how to deal with this sentence as from the word "wird".

employment rights

Explanation:
The employment rights will not continue beyond the termination date

These rights may include the right to be employed, insurance benefits (unless otherwise provided by law), other firnge benefits, use of a vehicle, right to be paid, etc.
I don't believe it means only the right to continue in the employment.

neutral  Paul Skidmore: For me "employment rights" is too wide a phrase. it is the entitlement to *work* which is being excluded. Health and safety or discrimination law claims which are "employment rights" certainly in BE aren't being excluded by this contractual term.

ich würde das verbal ausdrücken (nicht im so beliebten Nominalstil) "will not claim employment beyond the termination date"
