Der Kunde, der Verbraucher im Sinne des KSchG ist, kann von einem im Fernabsatz geschlossenen Vertrag oder einer im Fernabsatz abgegebenen Vertragserklärung bis zum Ablauf der im folgenden genannten Fristen schriftlich zurücktreten.

The customer, who is consumer within the meaning of the KSchG, can withdraw from a long distance sales contract, or from a contractual declaration made in connection with long distance sales, up to the expiry of the deadlines stated hereinafter. ??

At least this is what the German means, as opposed to Camille's answer which is either based on (slightly) missing the point with a view to the source's meaning or else is having opted for a very, very free translation, in a field (legal) that as per the scholars requires a certain degree of imaging of the wording of the source (obviously without translating literally) in order to not lose any elements of meaning in translation.

I am not saying what I suggest is what a native speaker would say though.

KSchG = Austrian Konsumentenschutzgesetz (Consumer Protection Act)

The context is about consumers' statutory rights of revocation regarding their order (which is the declaration of intent) upon ordering items via the Internet or by phone/fax from printed catalogues oldschool style.
