German term or phrase: diesnotarieller Urkunde
This term has come up several times in a will. It refers to previous documents signed by the person preparing the will. eg. "diesnotarieller Urkunde vom 23 April 1954 Urk. Doc. Nr. 476 etc." I have taken this to mean "document of this (same) Notary of 23 April etc." but at the end of the document I find a different Notary's name for one of these. Have I got the meaning wrong? Perhaps "this Notary's Office"?

English translation:of this notary's office
Explanation:
I assume so - there are a limited number of notaries and perhaps just one for this district, and it was his predecessor. You might be able to check if you do a Google search for a notary in that location.

Thank's for that. I would have had to take that option but it is good to have my thoughts confirmed.
