Steuerbetriebsinspektor (ZBI) {Commercial Tax Inspector} Explanation: I think that titles should be left as is, but I understand the need for an approximation sometimes. This might be a possible way of dealing with this problem (a method I use frequently). You can, of course, also put the approximation in a translator's footnote, though I find that method less elegant. The curly brackets are rarely used outside of technical fields, so there is not much risk that it will be confused as somehow belonging to the actual text.
