German term or phrase: wird hierauf verzichtet

Frau XXX erklärte, der deutschen Sprache nicht hinreichend kundig zu sein. Die Niederschrift wurde daher übersetzt. Nach Hinweis, dass die Anfertigung und Durchsicht einer schriftlichen Übersetzung verlangt werden kann, ***wird hierauf verzichtet.***
I am a little bit confused by the structure. What is to be "verzichtet"?

Explanation:
Let's have a look at the chain of events:

(1) Ms xxx explains "I don't understand German."
(2) The oral proceedings are translated, probably by an interpreter.
(3) Someone (maybe the judge) explains to xxx that it is her legal right to receive a written translation and take it home to read it.
(4) Ms. xxx says, "Nope, I can do without."

So the hearing was orally translated, but she waived to receive a written copy of it. That's all to it.

the need to translate her statement .. they're just going to accept what she says as is .... refers to the translation process

the fact that they say "verlangt werden KANN" means they don't have tp rely on the translation

I don't think it has to do with "another" translatiion but rather "any" translation

Asker: Thank you, I understand these words! I do not quite understand what is hereby waived:(

Asker: I am sorry, maybe I am just too tired, but I do not grasp the meaning of this paragraph. If the transcript was translated because the lady does not speak much German, what other translation is waived?! I am confused...:( Or am I just thinking too hard, and missing something obvious?
