German to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general) / Abkürzung
German term or phrase: VFG
Aus einem gerichtlichen Bescheid in Zusammenhang mit einer Nachlasssache:

In der Nachlasssache
XX,ZZZ (EL)
XX,YYY (VFG)
wird Ihnen die anliegende letztwillige Verfügung des Verstorbenen zugesandt....

Ich nehme an, dass EL der Erblasser ist (in meinem Fall der verstorbene Ehemann).
Die andere Person ist die Erbin, seine Witwe....aber was bedeutet VFG? Irgendwas in Richtung Verfügung???

It could also be something with "-gegner."

If it is, indeed, "Verfügungsgegner," then you might consider translating it as "respondent," depending on the context, i.e., the parties actual position in the matter (for the use of "Verfügungsgegner" in the context of "Erbrecht" see http://tinyurl.com/yzdxuff ).

*Excuse my typo above, I meant to write "party's actual position in the matter."
