Explanation:
my English equivalent is much too wordy. However what is between parentheses (brackets) is rendered necessary because a "Rechtsgut" can have a geographical location, whereas an "interest or right" cannot have a place in space. Accordingly I had to tack on a few words to make sense. The phrases I know for "zu schuetzendes" are "meritorious" -- mostly used by economists -- and "worthy of protection".
