I found this in a statement by a Belgian notary public. Looks like a mistype (legitimation) but this word also appears on German websites which has brought me here asking for your help. Thanks,

Explanation:
"Legimitation/legimitation" is kosher in most germanic languages, including Swedish, Danish and German.
