I'm not a lawyer, I've only had some experience researching this for myself:
...legal status of the joint lawful (connubial) child...
I think "connubial" is (possibly obviously) less legal, but true to the word "ehelich".
...to draw up a deed before a notary/a notarial act...
"gutachtliche Äußerung" is "expert opinion":
...to issue an expert opinion...
