I need urgent help with the following legal terms into German:

1. legal document

2. informal agreement in principle

Context:
This is about the forced-labour compensation programme.

1.:

"Swiss banks filed legal documents seeking dismissal of lawsuits."
(After claims by victims were filed in court)

2.:

"Informal agreements in principle were reached in Judge Korman's chambers."
( Here I can tell that the first agreement was not a final one; it was only a suggested agreement needing approval.)

Any help is highly appreciated!
