"Soweit durch diesen Vertrag Rechte und Pflichten der anderen Länder-Departments Frankreich, United Kingdom, Italien und Spanien von XY Europe geregelt sind, werden diese in diesem Vertrag durch XY vertreten."
XY, in this case, is the German branch of the XY Group. As ineloquent as this sounds, is it saying that insofar as rights and duties of the divisions responsible for these other countries are regulated in this agreement, those divisions are represented for this purposes of this agreement by XY?

I guess the point in question is what exactly the 'diese' refers to in '..werden diese in diesem Vertrag..' and I agree with you that it's the division that are being represented by XY.
