German term or phrase: a sign for "diameter" in English: is " also possible ?
A client of mine wants to have translated " from German as " diameter"
in English. Is this a correct translation version for English? My dictionaries only suggest the sign o with /
moser.ilja

English translation:" used for inches in the USA
Explanation:
I have never seen " used to mean diameter, but it IS used for inches, so, in my case, I stand

6' 0" tall, or six feet, 0 inches.

Perhaps, if it follows a number, the customer is telling you that the diameter is specified by the number. But the symbol like that, never seen it.
