| | upright comb, folded in front | Explanation: Anscheinend gibt's kein exaktes englischsprachiges Aequivalent. Es sieht so aus, ein Kamm dieser Art sei ein einzigartiges Merkmal dieser Rasse. |

| Reference: Wickelkamm
Reference information: Head: folded and single upright comb Wickelkamm with regular points; semicircular crest with short, round feathers (more abundant than the cock has; yet not as large as the crest of a crest chicken)

The latter, though, the "original Sulmtaler", represents a thoroughbred chicken, which as the culinary rediscovery of the year soars off to new spheres of flavour. In the open, our new ambassador of taste from Sulmtal may be identified by its generic crest and upright comb, folded in the front (Wickelkamm)

Visually, the Sulmtaler chicken is marked by its stockier build and its idiosyncratic trademark: a little crest - and an upright comb, folded in front (Wickelkamm), for the hens.
