German term or phrase: Blasenkopfresektion
Having finally reached the end of a set of references for a vet, there is one term that I am really not sure of. Based on my research, I am thinking that Kopfresektion is a technique of resection. The term "head resection" seems to exist in English (e.g. pancreatic head resection), but there aren't that many hits for bladder/vesical head resection (my guess at Blasenkopfresektion).

Unfortunately, there is a lack of a context, as it is just part of a list of operations, but here's what I've got:
3 Nabelresektion nach Omphalitis einschließlich Blasenkopfresektion, Kalb
1 Nabel- (umbilical head resection?) und Blasenkopfresektion, Fohlen (Assistenz)

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance and have a lovely weekend!

English translation:resection of the apex of the bladder
Explanation:
Apex is defined in Bunjes as "Blasenkuppe."

Excerpt from below link: The most anterior and most superior part of the bladder is the apex.

Not sure, though. Blasenkopf doesn't get any meaningful hits ;-)

The reason I'm going for this answer is because I asked some med students what they thought Blasenkopf meant and they referred me to apex vesicae. Thanks to everyone. It really annoys me when the source text contexts some term that (highly probably) doesn't even exist. As Trudy rightly mentioned, there aren't any meaningful hits in google ...

bladder dome resection

Explanation:
This is a guess, but I keep coming up with the term bladder dome, which I can imagine could be the head.

Bladder - normal
top

Gross: hollow viscus resembling inverted pyramid when empty, sphere when distended

Has superior surface (dome), posterior surface (base) and inferolateral surfaces

Another guess...

Looking at the anatomy of the bladder, it doesn't really seem to have a head, but rather a neck.

Low and behold, while there are zero hits for Blasenkopfresektion there are quite a few for Blasenhalsresektion. Is it possible your vet was a bit unclear in his description.

Here a reference on the bladder:
Die Blase besteht aus Blasenkörper, Blasengrund und Blasenhals. Anatomisch unterscheidet man bei der Blase drei Bestandteile:
Blasenkörper: Er verjüngt sich nach oben hin in den Blasenscheitel.
Der nach hinten ausladende Anteil der Blase wird Blasengrund genannt. In ihm münden von hinten seitlich die beiden Harnleiter.
Nach vorn unten erstreckt sich schließlich der Blasenhals, der in die Harnröhre übergeht.

and here one on "bladder neck resection":
