to brainstorm ideas which transcends the usual business

Explanation:

Since we are talking about 200 specialists who can think beyond their scope of existing/usual business to come up with ideas and solutions for the problems, i take this to be a spontaneous group discussion, or a brainstorming session.

I am not sure about the brainstorming and hence the low level of confidence
