German to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Manufacturing / Laser | | German term or phrase: Feinstschneiden | Hi all,
I am translating web texts relating to laser fabrication.
The sentence reads: "Beim Laserschneiden ist Präzision für uns das oberste Gebot. Wir bearbeiten alle Stähle und Edelstähle, NE-Metalle, Legierungen sowie Keramiken. Die Schnitteigenschaften beim Laserschneiden: Schnittfugenbreite Standard 0,14 mm; Schnittfugenbreite ***Feinstschneiden*** bis 0,02 mm, etc."
So the distinction between 'standard' laser cutting and 'Feinstschneiden' seems to be kerf width.
'Ultra narrow kerf cutting' sounds rather clunky. Any other ideas?
Many thanks! |
