durchlauf seems to mean something else. e.g. here:
"Teile die zwar wichtige Komponenten sind, aber nicht zur Flugfähigkeit des Flugzeugs beitragen haben daher auch einen verkürzten Prozessdurchlauf."

I was wondering that myself. The author does seem pretty competent though (as technical writers go) :)

One google example has 'serial passage', but what I glean is that it means a suite of things (e.g. photographic images) that could be tagged in a single step rather than each frame individually. Wikipedia has nothing.

Perhaps serial pass-through. But workflow also sounds good. It's the stage between 'Entwicklung' and 'Engineering' though I am not sure the German writer used the word correctly and really meant 'manufacture'. Could be the 'product testing stage'.
