The terminology apparently comes from plastic blow molding technology (same principle, but using metal instead of plastic and a fluid intead of air).
As far as I can tell, a Kabrierform is a shaping mold (naturally, all molds are used to generate shapes, but you have to call it something special) and Aufkalbrieren is (in this case) the process/action of forming the material against the mold (expanding it to conform to the shape of the mold).

Ein erfolgreicher Einsatz von Kettenrädern kann nur erreicht werden, wenn Kette und Kettenrad zusammenpassen. Dabei ist grundsätzlich die Kette dem Kettenrad anzupassen. Ein einwandfreies Zusammenarbeiten von Kette und Kettenrad kann somit nur gewährleistet werden, wenn dem Kettenhersteller das Kettenrad zur Aufkalibrierung zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Dabei wird die Kette auf das antreibende Rad kalibriert.
Das ist der einzige Text, den ich bei Google unter Aufkalibrierung gefunden habe.
Hier bedeutet Aufkalibrierung also, dass die verschiedenen Teile aufeinander abgestimmt werden müssen.
Dazu fällt mir *compliance calibration* ein - dieser Begriff wird verwendet, aber bin mir nicht sicher, da er öfter verwendet wird als Aufkalibrierung (konnte ihn nur einmal finden)
