From a report about the recovery of a company's sales after passing through the economic crisis without firing workers. The CEO says "Wir können jetzt mit erfahrenen Mitarbeiter auf dem wieder anziehenden Markt *auftrumpfen".*
(PS I have checked glossaries and dictionaries) but can't think of a fit equivalent in English.)

That's why I placed it in third position, whereas there are probably enough people from the first categories who might reply; let's just say I was curious to see if any linguist(s) would offer something novel.
I think you run the risk of people thinking the term relates to the field of linguistics, and thus narrowing down the numbers of people who try to assist you.
Explanation: It is not really an especially Swis term. But it is used very often in a way that it means that someone wants to show off his/her own strength and superiority and predominance, so WAHRIG, Deutsches Wort.
'boast, brag, exaggerate about oneself' are not giving the same register!

Explanation: Stand tall in the market. An attempt to find something that is not too aggressive. Or 'stand head and shoulders above the competition' in a more long-winded version. Or 'dominate the market', if aggression is what is needed.
